What is it?
The DMH Resource Directory is
a web-based application that allows access to the INFO LINE of
How do I logon?

How do I find service providers?
There are three basic ways of
searching for service providers in the directory. They are:
·
Express Directory
·
Keyword Search
·
Category Search
The Express Directory is broken by Mental Health Services by
Service Planning Area (SPA). SPA is separated by
The keyword search uses the
entered text to search provider site and service names. It also checks against
‘see also’ and ‘see instead’ references for service terms (e.g. ‘therapy’
entered finds ‘counseling’ services. If the zip code, city and SPA fields are
left blank the Directory returns all the matches in the database regardless of
location. If City is entered, only the provider sites in that city are
returned. If Zip Code is entered, the Directory returns providers who serve the
entered zip code and are located in that zip code or located in one of the
adjacent zip codes.
The category search utilizes
the multi level service structure of INFO LINE to categorize services. Selecting
a Major Service Category from the first list on the screen populates the second
list with the Secondary Service Categories for the first choice. Similarly
choosing the second level term populates the third list with the specific
Service Terms that may be searched. This is a very good way to search for
services when one doesn’t know all of the types of services available in the
Directory. Entering a Zip Code, City and SPA works in the same way described
under the keyword search description.
What
happens after I execute one of the Search Types?
If there are any services and
providers that match the search criteria, a list will be displayed of all
matches. More matches than can be displayed on one-page results in additional
pages that may be selected at the bottom of the list.
The match list shows the
provider site name, the service program or service cluster (group of specific
services) and the link to the specific service requested (based upon search
criteria), address, phone and email information. If a specific target
population (American Indians, At Risk Youth, etc.) has been designated for this
service at this site, it is displayed following the service name in the link
and is enclosed by brackets and proceeded by an asterisk.
Clicking on one of the links
on the match list displays detailed information about the site, service and
provider agency. Links are also displayed on this page to:
·
Provide a map of
the location;
·
Produce driving
directions to the site;
·
Generate public
transportation instructions for getting to the site; and
·
Display
additional information about the agency, including the other sites the agency
operates and the other program services the agency provides.
Why do I see some errors in the
descriptions of services and sites?
There may be errors in the INFO
LINE database that result in embedded spaces in some words and other occasional
formatting problems.
What additional capabilities will
be added to the Resource Directory in the near future?

add and view notes about specific services and providers;
